Photovoltaic Cells and Its Uses

Introduction

Photovoltaic effect is that the process where the sunlight energy gets converted to the
electrical energy through a semi-conductor medium.It's this effect that produces solar panels
useful, because it is how the cells within the panel convert sunlight to voltage. it absolutely
was first discovered in 1839 by Edmond Becquerel. When doing experiments involving wet
cells, he noted that the voltage of the cell increased when its silver plates were exposed to the
daylight.
